| The Downtown Hockey League abides by the Canadian Hockey Association's Official Hockey Rules with the following ammendments and modifications: |
| 28 - NOTE: |
Any team receiving 3 penalties for body contact in one game will have the following players assessed a Balance of Game ejection or a major penalty regardless of the severity of the body contact. So, in other words, who ever commits a 3rd body contact penalty, will automatically be issued a Balance of Game Ejection (B.O.G.) and based on the severity, will be deciplined by the league accordingly. This will continue throughout the game for any other body contact penalties. Any team that continually gets players suspended and does not cooperate with the league may be removed from the league or not invited back next season. Sub players or fill-in players that are not on the roster are welcome to play, but if they are issued a major or match penalty, they will be banned from any further play in the entire league. Please make sure this is known to all your players. Teams should carry their own first aid supplies, although some supplies may be available from the rink. All players must be 21 years of age or older. In a few instances, we have allowed under aged players to participate. This is the decision of the league officials only. |
| 29 - ROSTER AND GAME SHEETS |
It is the responsibility of the team rep to have all his players to sign and submit the proper forms (roster and weekly game sheets). The team rep must pickup and fill out the game sheet before game time. Please PRINT names legibly. |
| 30 - SAME COLOURS?? |
In the instance where both teams have the same colour sweaters, the visiting team will change. In the next meeting between the two teams the other team will change. |
| 31 - TIE BREAK |
Tie breaking format for end of season standing is as follows: 1. Season series between tied teams 2. Most wins 3. Least loses 4. Goals for vs. goals against 5. Least penalty minutes 6. Coin toss (has never reached this far) |
